Mix one tablespoon of dish detergent with two cups of cold water. Then, dab the stain with the solution until it disappears. Sponge again with cold water to rinse and pat dry.

Make sure to not overwet the fabric as it can cause moisture that can result in more problems—mould and mildew growth, for instance.
