How to Deal with Your Kid’s Bedwetting?


Understandably, you are frustrated about this. Probably, because it happened a couple of times in the past, but relax. You are not alone since other parents are in the same situation as you are right now.

To help you deal with the wet mattress after your kid wets the bed, here are the pointers you need to remember.

Before start cleaning the mattress, you would need to prepare the following first:


  • ✓ An empty spray bottle
  • ✓ Baking Soda
  • ✓ Clean Towels
  • ✓ Cold water
  • ✓ Distilled White Vinegar
  • ✓ Laundry Detergent
  • ✓ Vacuum


Step 1: Take off the bedding.


Once you remove the bedding, put that into the washing machine as soon as you can. Otherwise, the urine stain might set, and it would be hard for you to eliminate that later.

If the bedding still stinks after washing, add a cup of distilled white vinegar. Then, spin the washer again.


Step 2: Blot the mattress.


While the bedding is still in the washer, grab a clean towel and blot the peed area. Try not to put much pressure, or else the urine will push through further the fibres mattress.

Step 3: Spray vinegar solution on the peed area.


To make a vinegar solution, you need to mix two to three tablespoons of liquid laundry detergent, a cup of distilled white vinegar, and two cups of cold water in a spray bottle.

Step 4: Let it soak.

Step 6: Vacuum the dry baking soda.


Once eight to ten hours have passed, clean off the dry baking soda with the vacuum cleaner.
